First, if you don’t know how to pronounce Voiyoo or what the heck a Voiyoo is - check out my article about it. It’s not easy to pick a business name anymore and I had to be creative!
Just pay attention to the ads on TV and the stuff they are coming up with now. The Zebra? For car insurance? The next business looking for a name will need to add an adjective to that. Polka Dot Zebra? Green Zebra? Have you noticed this, too?
But, I like the name I chose and it has a nice back story. Let me know what you think.
Who The Heck Is Jennifer Ressmann with Voiyoo Business Writing Anyway?
Do you even know who I am? My name is Jennifer Ressmann and I am a Floridian and a Coloradan. One of my favorite parts of my life is that I get to go back and forth to 2 of my favorite states in the US throughout the year. They are both just gorgeous parts of the country and I really encourage you to visit them both... as often as you can!
I love popcorn, watermelon and all fruit. I love hiking, boating and spending time with my husband and the Murph, our happy, smart, friendly border collie. I hate the cold. I love love hot weather.
When it comes to work, I love to work with people that understand how important blogging and content can be for their business.
When business owners and managers are looking for someone to create their blog content remotely they can turn to me - I love to write for them!
MAKING MY CLIENTS LIFE EASIER
People come to me for just a few reasons...
1. They can’t do it any more! They have too much on their plate as it is to make any more content. “Can someone please do something so they can take care of this other stuff. Can you also do it better than me please?”
2. They don’t know what they are doing in the first place. “I don’t want to learn this, would you please write it for me?” They usually want to make a couple of adjustments after I review it, but then they trust I know what I’m doing so we have a long term relationship and I get to make a lot of content for their business so they can show it off! They want their life to be easier.
3. “I don’t know what I’m doing, but once we get going, I want to nitpick what you have written, call you every other day for explanations of why you did what you did and then drag my feet so what you wrote never quite comes together.” Ha! These folks should probably learn how to do the work themselves so they can control every aspect without torturing someone else. I don’t tend to work with this group too long - they don’t really want to have a partnership.
I am here to make business people’s lives easier. But, my client needs to trust that I do know what I’m doing. I will have many answers but I won’t have them all and their input is fantastic. However, if they are business owners or managers like number 3 we will both quickly become unhappy.
WORKING FOR YOU
I have my client’s absolute best interest at heart. My free time is spent studying my field and oftentimes their field as well.
Studying and understanding this industry means my aim is to write content that is easy to read for my client’s customer base. I won’t be gearing the content towards their peer group unless it’s specified. So, using jargon that isn’t always easy to understand for the general public will be left out or described or made more simple.
The content I write also needs to be honest and not fluffy. It will try to address objections and questions ahead of time for my client’s prospects and customers. The writing will be geared toward the target market, not trying to aim at everyone under the sun, but specifically for the people my client’s want to work with.
We want to talk about how my client’s can make their client’s lives better. We can mention some of the features for sure, but then let’s tie those into what the customer and prospect expect those benefits to achieve.
I’M EASY TO WORK WITH
Now, to be honest, there will be some set up in the beginning of working with me and there will be a bit of learning from each other. “Do you want to talk to these people as your target market?” “Is your market usually excited to get on board or do they need some convincing?” We will start light and answer questions as we move ahead with the process.
I will also ask that my client have a gmail account and that we edit in google docs. They are very easy to work with. As we move ahead, we probably won’t even talk too much… she chuckled. I have one client I’ve worked with for many many years… I send over the written articles and I won't hear from her again until the next month when I confirm our schedule.
It’s a long term relationship that works great for everyone... and I want to have that with you as well.
I work hard to get my client’s content to them on their timeline. I am at my desk most days Monday thru Friday and occasionally on the weekends. (shhhhh)
And, of course… The content I provide is based around my client’s keywords and SEO that best fits.
You know what else I do for my content clients? Provide images for their blog articles. I will add text right to the front of the images as well so they can easily be used for other projects and promotion of their content on social media!
