Copywriting is a form of writing that is persuasive and informative to a specific market. While it might seem like it’s just marketing, it’s the text and words you will see in some marketing.
Marketing is content that promotes your business to your target market. Without well-written copy or content in your marketing materials, you might not have great results. Let’s talk more about whether copywriting is essentially just marketing.

Copywriting as I mentioned above is a persuasive form of reaching out and connecting with people that need or want your product or service. Some might not know they need or want it, but you want to explain to them why they do.
Good copywriting is a powerful tool to include in your marketing and sale collateral. With bad copy, your message will fall short and not connect with prospects. With good copy, people will take notice of your business in a good way. With well-written copy, your business will stand out as professional and an expert in the field.
Copywriting For Marketing
Good copywriting is a must when you are marketing your business. At the same time, all marketing doesn’t involve copywriting. That is important to note. I am not trying to persuade you to buy something, sign up for something, or take action all the time. That’s just exhausting…. for everyone.
At the same time, depending on where you are using your copy and marketing the same people probably won’t even see every piece of copy you write. So, maybe you can include persuasive copy in a lot of the marketing materials you create?

Copywriting is really a must for businesses of any size. You can include good copywriting in almost anything:
➡️ Target Market - I often see businesses writing their copy so their peers will read it. This is a mistake. Understand that you are not marketing or selling to your peers (unless you are). If you are selling to someone that isn’t familiar with your product, service, or industry - they are coming to you for the results. Remember that.
➡️ Copywriting Example - If I call a bug extermination company, my concern is to have my home bug-free quickly. How do you talk to someone like me?
